Washing

The “crown” is a crossed-out wash tub. Meaning: no washing!

A garment with this label must be washed by hand.

The wash tub plus number indicates that a garment can be washed at this temperature in a normal wash cycle.

The line under the tub indicates: Please wash on a gentle cycle. Two lines indicate a special gentle cycle or wool cycle.

Bleaching is a process carried out before, during, or after washing to improve the removal of dirt and stains and/or to increase the degree of whiteness. Active chlorine (e.g., bleach) or chlorine-free active oxygen-releasing products (contained in heavy-duty or universal detergents) are used.

Oxygen bleaching agents cover a wide range of different activated and non-activated bleaching systems with varying degrees of activity (e.g., oxy products).
